The casual cafeteria Al Mallah is located on the cozy 2nd December Street in vibrant Satwa, and this is the place to go for some of Dubai’s best shawarmas and most tasty hummus. You can either choose to dine at one of the small plastic tables, where friendly waiters make sure that your order is processed quickly, or you can take the food with you for later consumption.
You cannot get regular sodas at Al Mallah, but instead they offer an impressive range of freshly squeezed fruit juices.
The best time to stop by Al Mallah is early evening just after sunset, when 2nd December Street bustles with activity. Order a juicy shawarma and an ice-cold fruit juice and enjoy all the impressions from a part of Dubai, which most tourists unfortunately never experiences.
You can easily spend an entire evening in Satwa looking for bargains in some of the small gift shops or maybe ordering a dress at one of the tailors. The metro does not pass through the heart of Satwa, so get off at World Trade Centre or Al Jafiliya and walk the rest of the way (about 10 minutes walk) or take a taxi.
