Bistro des Arts – Dubai Restaurants

Bistro des Arts - Dubai

Bistro des Arts is one of the few places in Dubai Marina where you can sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine, and while the food is nice, it’s the location, which is Bistro des Arts’ unique selling point. I don’t think I can come up with any other place in the Marina, where I’d rather be, when the weather is nice and its Friday night.

Inside the restaurant, it’s easy to forget, that you’re in Dubai, because this adorable spot really feels like a little piece of France. The food is classic French bistro fare and the menu has a nice selection of reasonably priced starters. The mains are around 100AED unless you’re looking for steaks, which are almost double the price, after adding sauce (15AED and garniture (20AED).

Bistro des Arts has daily specials (Wednesday is raclette night) as well as an affordable lunch menu. Wine is standard Dubai price, that is, rather expensive, but there’s a good selection of bottles to choose among. When I was there, the service was a bit impatient and even slightly arrogant at times, though not to a point where it interfered with the overall experience, which was indeed very nice.

In the back of the outdoor seating area there’s a space, where diners’ kids can play, and even though Bistro des Arts isn’t a place, where people usually bring their kids, you probably don’t want to be right next to that area, unless you have kids yourself.

You can’t enter Bistro des Arts from The Address hotel, but exit the Marina Mall at the Waitrose end and with your back against the mall, facing the Marina, turn right. Bistro des Arts is just around the corner.

Bistro des Arts is also my favorite place for breakfast in Dubai Marina. The coffee is really good, and the Pain Perdu could easily be the best French Toast in Dubai.
