We’re moving (again)! I did not want to blog about it until it was certain, but now all the paperwork has been done, and we expect to move within the next couple of weeks. The house in Meydan South was company accommodation (accommodation provided by Poul’s employer) and it was way too big for us. After half a year, we were only done decorating one bedroom and half of the living room. Furthermore, villa life really was not for us. In the Marina, we had everything within walking distance, so it was difficult getting used to having to take the car everywhere.
The apartment, which we are moving to, is located in Damac Hills. It is a relatively new community in Dubai, about 20 minutes drive from the Marina, but there is everything you need within the community, including restaurants, a supermarket, a Radisson hotel and Trump International Golf Club 🙂
The other day we went for dinner at the Italian restaurant Prato, which is located next to the golf club. It is a really good Italian restaurant with outdoor seating with panoramic views of the golf course. Polle got a pasta dish with lobster and I got a white pizza with truffle and scamorza. Scamorza is a bit similar to mozzarella, but the flavor is sharper and goes really well with the truffle flavor, which can otherwise often be a bit overwhelming. I am really looking forward to moving, and I think we will be happy in our new neighborhood. Definitely not the last time we dined at Prato.
