I just got home from the King Arthur premiere and I think I like it. Charlie Hunnam is hot, Jude Law is creepy, and the story is fast-paced and almost..hip? There’s a giant snake involved, and David Beckham makes a short appearance too.
When I’m watching movies with actors who have been featured in other movies, I can’t help associating them with the previous characters they’ve played. So Jude Law will always be Alfie to me, and Charlie Hunnam (I just found out his real name today) will always be the guy from Sons of Anarchy, because that’s where I first saw him. And Shawn Carter will always be Jay-Z.
One thing I couldn’t help noticing was the absence of nude scenes. Could be because they’ve done some cutting down here (wouldn’t be the first time), but no matter what, it still shows that you can make a great movie, or TV for that sake, without naked people in every second frame (yes, I’m looking at you Game of Thrones).
