Before I traveled back to Denmark, I was back at Roast again, this time with Nicola and J. After J moved to the Marina, we see each other all the time as she’s in the building right next to ours. Though it’s been more than a year since the last time I saw Nicola, so we had a lot to catch up on.
I had a sandwich with turkey and pomegranate, which was delicious and reminded me of the pressed sandwiches you get at Joe & The Juice. I also had a Cotton Candy Latte, because coffee and cotton candy are one of those combos that you don’t want to miss.
It’s great to see that Roast got off to a good start and that the café is now building its base of loyal customers. Their specialty coffee and delicious Nordic-inspired menu is a nice breath of fresh air here in Dubai, where most cafes are big international chains without a lot of soul. If you are in Dubai Marina, I can only recommend that you stop by Roast, and if you’re from Denmark, there is no excuse for not stopping.
Roast also offers home delivery in the Marina area, so you can get your salted caramel latte right to your doorstep.
Roast is located in a quiet corner of Dubai Marina, a short walk from DMCC metro station. It’s hard to find the cafe online, but if you write “Roast Specialty Coffee” in GoogleMaps, it will lead you to the right location.
