After we moved to our new neighborhood, the Italian restaurant Prato has quickly grown to become our favorite restaurant in our new neighborhood. I’ve previously been at Prato many times for breakfast and for dinner. The food is delicious, and the staff are great and master the subtle art of providing great service without being intrusive.
The other day, we had a friend visiting from Sweden, and after a round of golf, we had built up quite an appetite, so we decided to try the Market Lunch, which is a 3-course lunch special at 125AED.
I usually pick one of the tables outside overlooking the golf course, but it’s getting really hot in Dubai at this time of the year, so we went for a/c and a table inside.
There were two options for each course, but we all had the seafood ravioli as an appetizer. It came with a lobster soup that the staff poured over the dish, and it tasted amazing. The food looked so pretty, that I decided to change my Coke Zero order to a glass of white wine.
As a main course I had the vegetarian zucchini lasagna which was delicious and beautifully presented with a slice of fried zucchini as decoration.
I love tiramisu, so that was my choice for dessert, and I was happy to see the generous serving that arrived, because there’s no such thing as too much tiramisu.
Such a good meal! Life is good.
