The summer has loosened its hot and humid grip on Dubai and the rooftop season has slowly kicked off again. Level 43 is the rooftop bar at Four Points by Sheraton, and last Wednesday I was invited to the launch of their Saxophone Night. It was my first time to visit Level 43, so I was looking forward to seeing what the view was like from up there.
There are not that many open air rooftop bars in Dubai at that level, and I can tell you that both the view and the entertainment were impressive. DJ Sveta was in control of the playlist while the saxophonist Manuel Kev was adding sweet saxophone sounds to the hits, and it sounded really great.
Compared to other rooftop bars in Dubai, Level 43 seemed more chill, like one of those places you would go and hang out with some friends, but according to the PR we spoke to, the bar attracts more of a party crowd on weekends. A glimpse on the menu revealed a good selection of affordable bar snacks, while the drinks were on the pricier side. Though considering that there is no cover charge and that you get some of the best views of this stretch of SZR, I think the price level was fair. If you are in the Downtown/DIFC area and you are into saxophone music with a view, you should drop by Level 43 on Wednesday.
