[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]// I was invited as a guest to the breakfast at Yamanote Atelier, and I didn’t pay for food, drinks and Hello Kitty buns. The invite didn’t come with any obligations or requirements//
Yamanote Atelier is a Japanese bakery in Dubai, and earlier this week, Hanna from Tripsnkids and I had the pleasure of joining their marketing team and group of other Dubai ladies for brunch at the DIFC branch, which also has a dine-in café. We had muesli with fresh berries and nuts, followed by scrambled eggs with salmon served on bread. For dessert, we had a selection of buns and pastries including their ever-popular Hello Kitty bun.
When I was in Tokyo earlier this year, everybody was crazy about cheese cookies. Yamanote Atelier has picked up the trend and developed their very own cookie line. I’m not a big fan of the very cheesy ones, but the salted caramel flavor was nice.
Yamanote was founded by a local couple with a big interest in Japan. It was the first Japanese bakery to open in Dubai, and I used to drive all the way their flagship store on Al Wasl Square to pick up Hello Kitty buns. Though nowadays, traffic is so bad, that I only rarely come by that area. Yamanote has also had a pop-up store in Marina Mall, and they told me that they are planning to open a branch in Dubai Marina or JBR, which is good news for Hello Kitty bun lovers like me.
