Last week I was invited to the Harvey Nichols SS18 Trunk Show at Bvlgari Yacht Club in Jumeirah. What a nice place! The perfect settings for a fashion show.
The show was kicked off with some kind of water gymnastics performance that I didn’t really get, and that I’m still not sure whether it was a part of the show or not. Then the models started walking around the pool, showing the trends for spring and summer 2018. There were 4 main trends and lots of pastels and florals, but also more edgy, urban looks.
We watched the show from the comfort of one of the cabanas with a glass of chilled fruit juice to sip on. There was also a sushi bar and many other nice things to munch on, which was such a nice change from other fashion events I’ve been to because apparently fashion people don’t eat.
I had brought my fashionista friend Thurid along for the show. She works at a dental clinic in Jumeirah, so it was easy for her to stop by. Thurid is from the Faroe Islands (just like Poul) and she lives in the building next to ours, so after we got to know each other, we’ve been seeing each other a lot. Though our matching white outfits weren’t planned, it was pure coincidence:)
