We both woke up really early at the Cape Cod Motel, so we were ready to hit the road at 7am. We considered going back north to see Provincetown in daylight, but it started getting really windy and cloudy, so we thought it was better to start driving towards New York.We stopped for breakfast in Chatham at a cozy little diner called Sandi’s, which was one of those places that felt more like somebody’s home, than a restaurant. The Crab Benedict was decent, and the service so friendly, we almost expected a hug on our way out.
It was rather cold and windy, so we couldn’t drive with the top down. I was driving from Cape Cod to Stamford, so there’s not a lot of pictures from that part of the trip, as Poul was busy checking out the 100-something radio channels. It didn’t matter much though, as there wasn’t really anything to see on the route to New York.
Renting a Mustang to go on a road trip was something Poul and I had talked about ever since we met, but now that we finally did it, it felt a bit underwhelming. I guess you get a bit spoiled, when you live in Dubai where cars are super cheap.
