XL is one of Dubai’s oldest hotspots, and it is still going strong. This is the place where all the beautiful people in Dubai hang out, and no matter which night of the week you choose, XL is usually packed.
You do not have any views of the beach from XL, as the club area is shielded and even though XL is a beach club, the vibe is more like a regular upscale nightclub. I don’t know whether the name is a coincidence, but XL is like a mini version of the nightclub XS in Las Vegas.
The Habtoor Grand Hotel is very popular among Russians, and XL tend to attract a large Russian crowd, who dress up to the nines, so even though it’s a beach club, wear a dress and heels, if you don’t want to feel seriously underdressed. However, if you come for a day club or the Friday brunch, wear a bikini.
