“Bullwhip” is the local name for bull kelp, a type of seaweed that grows in abundance in Alaska. It adds a natural umami depth and also happens to be packed with vitamins and minerals. Combined with the gentle heat of piri piri pepper, the flavor leans more savory than spicy—but still has enough warmth to wake up your taste buds.
