Rendang is an aromatic dry curry from Indonesia and the curry is known for its deep flavors, combining coconut milk, spices, and tender, melt-in-your-mouth beef. Traditionally, rendang is simmered for a long time until the sauce thickens and the meat soaks up every bit of spice, resulting in a slightly caramelized finish.

With Homiah’s rendang curry paste, making beef rendang at home becomes far easier. The paste contains authentic ingredients, including a balanced blend of spices and seasonings that usually take time to source and prepare. By simply sautéing the beef in Homiah’s paste and allowing it to simmer with coconut milk, you can achieve a classic, flavorful rendang with much less effort.

Even though rendang is typically made with beef, you can choose any kind of protein you like. Chicken and pork work fine with the rendang flavors, or you can make a vegan version with tofu or mushrooms.

Each packet contains 2 kits and makes 4 servings in total.

This kit only includes the rendang paste. You need to add coconut milk and your choice of protein. Garnish with lime, cilantro, and chili. Serve with rice.
