NYC: Clinton Street Baking Company – A second visit

Clinton Street Baking Company, New York

I wasn’t too impressed with Clinton Street Baking Company the last time I was there (read about it here), but I was craving pancakes for breakfast, and Clinton Street was just a short walk from my hotel. I therefore decided to give it a second chance and luckily it turned out to be a good idea.

The blueberry pancakes are served with warm maple syrup, and while I still think there are better and cheaper pancakes around, I’ll be the first to admit that the hot maple butter is an excellent touch, which more restaurants should adopt.  In addition to the pancakes, we also had Eggs Benedict with salmon, and it was incredibly delicious. The biscuits were perfect, the hollandaise was spot on and the salmon wasn’t too salty. All in all a great way to start the day.
