Hungry Bird Eats is on a mission to produce high-quality, delicious and healthy snacks for kids and adults. The company was founded in Brooklyn, NY, in 2016 by Tina Diep, a Danish architect and food blogger, and the products are inspired by Scandinavian recipes and a commitment to using only real, good-for-you, ingredients.
Tina began her quest for creating better snacks after learning that her son Ike was allergic to nuts and soy. Finding that most snack foods on the market were heavily processed and contained these allergens, she decided to make her own. Tina is originally from Denmark and the traditional Danish Knækbrød (rye crisp bread) was a source of inspiration, from which she created an on-the-go snack variation. She soon began sharing her homemade creations with neighbors and friends, who all liked the healthy and tasty snacks and after a short while, she was ready to launch her first Nordic Crisp product, Rye + Sea Salt, which is an addictive, slow-carb, baked snack made of organic rye flour, lightly touched with olive oil, and filled with superfood ingredients such as organic chia seeds, flax seeds, and pumpkin seeds.
The popular Nordic Crisps from Hungry Bird Eats are now available as a convenient baking mix, offering a fun and cost-efficient way to make the beloved multi-seed crackers in your own kitchen. Just add water, olive oil, and salt to your taste. Each 1 lb package yields approximately three sheets of crisp, flavorful crackers. The crackers are packed with seeds and made with rye, providing a healthy snack option that’s easy to prepare. Enjoy them on their own, with your favorite cheese, or as part of a grazing board.
