Las Vegas: Checking in at the Palazzo

Palazzo, Las Vegas

Yesterday, we checked in at The Palazzo. It’s a gorgeous place and a bit like Bellagio, but without the dancing fountains (but who needs dancing fountains anyway?)

The Palazzo is an all-suite resort so the rooms are huge, and beautifully decorated.  The pool area is like a lush, Roman garden with several pools to splash around in. The dayclub Tao Beach is also on the premises, but we found the hotel pools to be much nicer and calmer.

I was actually surprised to see how calm Palazzo is. I knew it wasn’t a typical party hotel, but since Palazzo has its fair share of nightclubs, I thought it would attract a younger crowd. Though, most of the other guests we’ve seen so far have been senior travelers. Don’t get me wrong, senior travelers will not splash around in the pool, puke in the lobby or keep their neighbors up all night with in-room karaoke, so I’m definitely not complaining:)

We have each our spacious and comfortable bed, and our power-nap yesterday afternoon turned into a marathon 12-hour sleep. Today we’re out for some serious shopping, Fashion Show Mall, watch out!
