Westfield shopping center is just a few stops from Bond Street subway station, so in the unlikely event that you get tired of the shopping around Oxford Street, Westfield offers some great mall shopping variety. Compared to the shopping centers in Dubai, Westfield is size wise just a small candy shop, but the selection of stores is very good.
I found the Italian make-up brand Kiko, which I have previously read about on the blog WalkInRunOut. Kiko’s products looked really nice and much more expensive than the price tag suggested, so I decided to purchase one of their mineral powders. I have used it a couple of times now, and it’s really good.
AC wanted to go to Crabtree & Evelyn to buy some hand cream. According to her, the blue Crabtree & Evelyn hand cream is much better than the blue one from L’Occitane, which seems to be in everybody’s handbags nowadays. There was a special offer with a hand cream and a hand exfoliator scrub for 5 GBP, so I decided to buy one as well. I’m not sure whether I think it’s significantly better than my shea butter favorite from L’Occitane, but it is quickly absorbed and I like the smell of it.
The highlight of the day was the visit to Carluccio’s. AC had a set menu but since I’ve already had lunch that day, I went for a chocolate fondant. Sweet!
