If you’re in the Russian Market area in Phnom Penh, don’t miss Sundown Social Club. This rooftop bar is located in an unassuming building at the northern edge of Toul Tom Poung (TTP, Russian Market) and it’s easy to miss if you don’t know what you’re looking for. Even if you know what you’re looking for, it can be tricky to find, but once you’re there, you’ll be glad you made the effort.
I had a mocktail that was absolutely delicious and a pizza that didn’t quite hit the mark. I’m not sure whether the pizza is still on the menu, but if they have decided to remove it, I wouldn’t shed any tears.
The vibe at Sundown Social Club is what really makes it special. From the bar, you have a fantastic view over the bustling market below and the city’s occasional skyscrapers in the background. It’s a great spot to watch the hustle and bustle from a peaceful perch above it all, and the contrast between the fancy cocktails at the Sundown Social Club and the rusty tin rooftops is a captivating sight.
