NYC: Narnia – Vintage shopping in Williamsburg
I first visited Narnia in Lower East Side, but the shop was about to close for good, so the shop assistant told me about their Willamsburg location, which is their sole location today.
Narnia sells curated pre-loved items in a store full of soul. There are two rooms and a backyard, and the space doesn’t feel cramped and overloaded, as some vintage stores tend to, but has an airy ambience that makes browsing the clothing items a bliss.
Narnia is one of the most beautiful vintage stores I’ve ever visited, and I love the eclectic mix of feminine, flowing dresses, patterned blouses and ethnic inspired designs. Prices are reasonable, but it isn’t a place to go bargain hunting. Though if you’re after those one-of-a kind items, which add that sought-after, personal touch to your wardrobe, then roll up your sleeves and start digging for treasures. If I were to open a vintage shop one day, it would be like Narnia.
