In my opinion, Madrid is one of the most underrated cities in Europe. Yes, it doesn’t have beaches, but aside from that, Madrid has everything I want from a city getaway. Amazing food, vibrant neighborhoods, plenty of culture and history, and a relaxed, welcoming feel that makes you feel at home right away. Whenever I’m in Madrid, I end up eating my way through the city, taking long walks through different districts, and discovering new spots I had no idea existed. It is a city that grows on you a little more with every visit, and one I keep coming back to.
