Located down one of the more anonymous side streets in glitzy Apgujeong, Sahm’s got the vibe of an NYC speakeasy. The small room doesn’t fit more than a handful of guests, so even though there’s nothing secret about Sahm, the cool clientele and the fact that most of the bartenders look like K-Pop stars make you feel kind of special too.
This is one of those places that you could tell your friends that you’ve read about on a travel blog…or you could say that your super cool local friend from Seoul recommended this place, and everybody would believe you. Because even though we spotted an expat or two the night we were there, Sahm feels hip and local without trying too hard.
We had planned a bar-hopping night out, but ended up staying at Sahm the entire evening, sipping our way through most of the menu. The cocktails were carefully crafted with meticulous attention to detail that reminded me of the old-school cocktail bars in Ginza in Tokyo.
And no, I don’t remember the name of the drinks, but everything we had was excellent:)
