My stylish new wood watch from JORD

Have you seen my new wood watch from JORD? A nice watch can really make an outfit and the dark ebony gives this watch a sleek, urban look, which is a cool contrast to the natural material. This watch is the Frankie Ebony & Gold, which I think is actually a men’s watch, but I like big watches that stand out, and the Frankie watch from JORD definitely does.

I’ve seen a lot of wood watches in New York, but they haven’t made it big in Denmark yet and among my friends, I’m the only one with a wood watch from JORD. Though I think it’s just a matter of time before we’ll see more wood watches here as well. It’s a truly unique timepiece and I’ve already had strangers walking up to me to ask me where I got it.

The Frankie watch looks particularly nice, when styled with a white, dressy shirt and black pants, but the dark wood goes with almost everything, and suits my monochrome wardrobe perfectly.

A great thing about natural materials such as wood is that they age with grace. Furthermore, the scratch-resistant sapphire glass will make sure that your watch will keep looking great for many years.

JORD means earth in Danish (and Swedish and Norwegian) and the minimalistic sustainable style has a very Scandinavian feel to it, so I first thought JORD was a Scandinavian brand, but they’re actually based in the U.S. Wonder who came up with the name? In Denmark, we pronounce jord as “yor”, but apparently, the way to pronounce the brand JORD is “yode” which is how a Swede would say it, so maybe there’s a Swede involved?
