Yay! Iām in Florida! I just touched down an hour ago and now Iām at the airport hotel, Quality Inn & Suites, which Iāve booked for the night. When it comes to airport hotels, Iām not that picky, as I usually just stay one night on my way somewhere else. The only things I look for are free wi-fi and a free airport shuttle. Usually the cheapest hotels donāt offer transportation to and from the airport, so you end up spending the few bucks youāve saved on the room on cab rides instead, so I always go for the hotels with free airport shuttles even if theyāre a little more expensive.
Quality Inn & Suites is nice and clean, but I got really scared, as I was walking through the outdoor hallway to my room. I saw this shadow, which was too big to be a bird, but too small to be a dog. In my mind that left one option: Rat! I was already prepared to turn around and find another way to get to my room, but then it jumped! And it jumped again. Boing, boing, boing! Turned out, it was a giant frog and not a rat. Phewww, Iām not afraid of frogs, even though this one was much bigger than any frog, Iāve seen before..
Thereās not much in this area except for a mall, a McDonaldās and a Taco Bell, so I picked up a burrito, and now Iām ready to go to bed. I had 3 seats all to myself on the plane, so I slept through most of the flight, but hopefully, Iāll be able to sleep through the night, so I can do a little sightseeing in the neighborhood before I catch my flight to Las Vegas tomorrow evening.
