Apart from the restaurant in the hotel, there were only a few other cafes and restaurants in La Pared. We tried Café Caveto one of the days, and it was really good, but we also noticed a cafe/bar called Plan B, which looked cozy enough, but which had very mixed reviews on Google. Among other things, it was mentioned several times that the staff would yell at people for using the restroom without buying anything to eat or drink. Scratching was also mentioned, so would we dare to have lunch at Plan B?
Yes, we did, because Sister T had spotted Currywurst on the menu, and that was just what she wanted for lunch. It was a really good Currywurst, that tasted exactly like Currywurst does at the rest areas along the Autobahn in Germany (that’s a compliment, I love the German rest area Currywurst).
I got a Bocadillo (Spanish baguette) with ham and tomato. The bread was really good and the sandwich tasted as if it had just been made. Much better than the sandwich, I had one of the other days at the hotel.
The staff was also really nice (no scratching occurred), and I can’t see why you would not want to check out Plan B, if you are staying at La Pared powered by Playitas and want some variety from the hotel’s food.
Fuerteventura is all about wide open spaces, soft sandy beaches, and that laid-back island feel that makes you want to ditch your schedule and just be. Whether you're here to surf, sunbathe, or simply slow down, finding the right place to stay can make a big difference.
From beach resorts in Corralejo to quiet boutique hotels tucked away in the inland villages, Fuerteventura has a surprisingly good mix of options. Here’s a link to check out hotels across the island—hope you find one that’s just your vibe.
