In Morro Jable, we had lunch at La Bodega de Jandia, which is a popular tapas bar a short walk from the beach. I had seen online that it was reservations only, but we gave it a shot, and got a table after a 30-minute wait. La Bodega de Jandia is known for innovative tapas, made from good, local ingredients, and the charismatic owner Ramón, did not hesitate to provide us with his recommendations on what to order, and what not to order. I had been eying the Papas Arrugadas on the menu, but Ramón said that we already had ordered enough food for two persons, so he would suggest that we skipped the potatoes.

We were familiar with most of the food on the menu, but many of the dishes at La Bodega de Jandia had a little twist that set them apart from your usual tapas fare. I really liked the bacalao with potatoes, and the slow cooked local pork ribs, but everything we had was delicious. After finishing our meal, we were offered a complimentary glass of limoncello, and when I was explaining that I was driving, I got a glass of alcohol free gin & tonic, which I think was a nice gesture, and a very good way to round off one of the best lunches we had on this trip.
