Recipe: Crepioca – Brazilian pancake

Recipe: Crepioca – Brazilian pancake

I’ve previously told you how my friend Ana would make me Brazilian tapioca crepes for breakfast, when we were roommates in New York City, but another treat she would sometimes make on weekends is crepioca, Brazilian pancake with tapioca flour.

The crepioca is made from a batter with egg and tapioca flour. Ana also adds a little cottage cheese and plenty of seasoning. The crepioca is then fried a couple of minutes on each side, before it’s ready to eat. It is more filling than the tapioca, so you don’t need any topping, but if you wish, you can add avocado, tomato and cheese.

Caraway Nonstick Ceramic Frying Pan (2.7 qt, 10.5")
$115.00

Caraway recently launched on Amazon, and their cookware is as pretty as it is practical. The Caraway 10.5" Nonstick Ceramic Frying Pan is one of those pieces you’ll find yourself reaching for all the time, whether it’s for eggs, sautéed veggies, or pancakes on the weekend. I especially love it in Perracotta, which adds such a nice pop of color in the kitchen.

The naturally non-stick surface means you can cook with less oil or butter, and cleanup is quick with just a wipe or light wash. Like all of Caraway’s cookware, the pan is free from PTFE, PFOA, PFAS, lead, and cadmium, so you don’t have to worry about toxins sneaking into your food.

It works on all stovetops, gas, electric, and induction, and it’s oven-safe up to 550ºF, which makes it super versatile. Durable, easy to use, and so good-looking, this is a pan that really makes everyday cooking feel a little more special.

Ninja Air Fryer
$105.99

I’ve had really good experiences with the Ninja air fryers. They're easy to use, the quality feels solid, and the results are consistently great. I like that you don’t have to fuss around with settings to get good food out of it. Vegetables turn out crisp without drying out, and chicken comes out juicy with a nice golden crust. It’s one of those kitchen gadgets that actually lives up to the hype and ends up being used all the time.
