Recipes from Tea Garden - Borderline Collective in Mae Sot

Borderline Collective is located in Mae Sot, which is about the closest you get to Myanmar, while still being on the Thai side of the border. The shop/restaurant/art gallery/creative space was started with the purpose of supporting migrant and refugee women from Myanmar, by helping the women sell their handmade products.

Borderline also runs a vegetarian restaurant, Tea Garden, which is located right behind the shop. The food is vegetarian versions of delicious Myanmar food. Here are the recipes from some of the most popular dishes from Tea Garden. From savory curries to flavorful salads and tasty snacks, these recipes offer a taste of Burmese cuisine that’s both delicious and accessible.
