I love tinned fish, and the Fishwife Smoked Rainbow Trout is in a league of its own. Great with crackers, on rye bread, or in a fish salad. Sustainably sourced from Idaho, smoked in small batches and free from antibiotics and growth hormones, this is smoked trout the way smoked trout should be.

The packaging is so cute it also makes for a super tasty present for any foodie friend of yours.  In the video below the smoked trout is paired with Hungry Bird Eats Rye + Sea Salt crackers with potatoes, sour cream, capers and dill, but you can style it any way you want.

 

The Smoked Rainbow Trout from Fishwife is sourced from America’s first and only ASC (Aquaculture Stewardship Council)-certified trout farm.  The trout is raised in pure Idaho spring water, and smoked in small batches over natural hardwood, before it is carefully hand-packed and canned in BPA-free cans by a First Nation’s-owned cannery on the coast of British Columbia.
