Octopus in Butter with Lemon & Dill

Tiny Fish Co.
3.5oz

$14.00

Tiny Fish Co.’s Octopus in Butter with Lemon and Dill is a sea-to-table treat that is as ethical as it is scrumptious! Caught in the pristine Alaskan waters near Dutch Harbor, this isn’t just any octopus; it’s the majestic Giant Pacific Octopus and it is a wild bycatch from the pot-caught cod operations aboard the F/V Raven Bay, where Dustan, Evie, and their crew catch fish as humanely and sustainably as possible. These folks are dedicated to fishing in the most sustainable ways possible. In fact, pot fishing is one of the most environmentally friendly methods around, minimizing by-catch and reducing impact to the sea floor, thus showing some serious love to Mother Earth.

But let’s talk about what’s in the can! The octopus is packed with sunflower oil, clarified butter, dill weed, and a spritz of lemon. The result? A harmony of flavors that make your taste buds do the happy dance.

Mitzie Mee – Sanne: This octopus is one of my favorite tinned seafood products in the shop.  I usually eat it straight from the can, as an indulgent snack that goes perfectly with a chilled glass of white wine, but the octopus is also a popular addition to any tapas table. The sauce/marinade is packed with flavor, so make sure you serve the octopus with bread to soak up every drop of it.
