AC arrived late Saturday night and had quite a “welcome-to-Vegas” experience in the lobby, where happy party-people were walking around in their underwear because of the Lingerie Carnevale that evening at Palms Pool.
Though, after more than 24 hours of travel time, she was still ready to go out for a drink, as long as we could go somewhere a little more dressed. I therefore took her for some Coronas with lime and straws at the newly re-opened Ghostbar.
Ghostbar is located up in the sky, on the 55th floor of Palms Casino. There’s both an indoor and an outdoor section, and there’s a see-through square in the outdoor floor. The bar is more a place to mingle than a place to dance, but the breathtaking view of the Strip combined with a laid-back atmosphere and great music makes Ghostbar a really nice place to hang.
Ghostbar can be a bit empty during weekdays, but on weekends, there might be a line. When I first visited the bar back in 2010, it was the place to be, and just getting in before closing time could be quite a challenge. Today it’s much easier and getting in shouldn’t be a problem.
