Copenhagen: Les Trois Cochons – Cozy French Bistro on Værnedamsvej

Les Trois Cochons, French bistro in Copenhagen

Les Trois Cochons is a cozy restaurant on Værnedamsvej, serving up delicious French bistro food. It’s one of my favorite restaurants in the city, so when Trine was in Copenhagen last month I wanted to take her there, before she left for Århus.

Like most of the other Cofoco restaurants, Les Trois Cochons also has a fixed price menu. Everything is served in small pots, pans and jars, and the starters and desserts are often made up of several small dishes.

Trine was wildly enthusiastic about the concept and I’m quite sure that Les Trois Cochons is a contributing factor to her recent thoughts about moving to Copenhagen permanently.

As you may have noticed, to me good service is an essential part of a good dining experience. Food just tastes better when it’s served with a smile and a funny remark, and my favorite restaurants are therefore the ones where I feel welcome, appreciated and relaxed. Through the years I have eaten more than 20 times at Les Trois Cochons, and I haven’t had a single bad experience there.

PS: One of the waiters working yesterday really had some true actor/storyteller talent. He presented the entrecote with so much empathy and passion I wanted to start applauding.

Les Trois Cochon is a part of the Cofoco group. Another nice Cofoco restaurant that I really like is the Nordic restaurant Höst >>
