Denmark: My stay at Four Points Flex by Sheraton Vejle

Four Points Flex by Sheraton Vejle

Four Points Flex by Sheraton Vejle is located out on Havneøen, surrounded by water, modern architecture, and some of the city’s most iconic buildings. This is also where you’ll find Fjordenhus and Bølgen, so the whole area almost feels like a small showcase of modern Danish architecture, with fjord views and seagulls in the background.

We had a room on one of the upper floors with an amazing view across the entire area and all the way out to Vejlefjordbroen, so the curtains were never closed for a single second while we were there.

The reception and breakfast area are located on the 11th floor, where the hotel also has its Sky Lounge with panoramic views over Vejle and the fjord. Breakfast was pretty simple, but it had what you needed, and the view added a lot to the overall experience. The best part was without a doubt the egg boiler, where you could cook your eggs exactly the way you wanted them. As most people probably know by now, I’m a bit of an egg nerd, and a perfectly soft boiled egg can seriously make my whole day better, so that egg boiler was a huge hit with me.

Restaurant Enzo & C is connected to the hotel, and you could order food from the restaurant and bring it upstairs to the Sky Lounge. One evening we got a little snacky and ordered a cheese plate, which turned out to be really good, with several different cheeses and plenty of accompaniments. Nothing fancy or overdone, just cozy and really nice after a long day.

One of the things I liked most about Four Points Flex by Sheraton Vejle is the location. Havneøen has a very special atmosphere with water on both sides, waterfront promenades and all the modern buildings, and during summer it must be such a great place to stay. At times it almost felt like being on a seaside vacation, even though you’re still right in the middle of Vejle.

I also learned something new during our stay. I kept wondering why there were so many crushed mussel shells scattered around the paths near the water, and after a bit of detective work I found out that the birds fly up with the mussels and drop them from high up in the air so the shells crack open when they hit the ground and the seagulls can eat what’s inside.

Four Points Flex by Sheraton Vejle is a good choice if you’re looking for somewhere simple, modern, and comfortable to stay, especially if you’re lucky enough to get one of the rooms with a view.

Mitzie Mee - Sanne

Welcome to my blog about The Heart of Jutland. I grew up in a small village just outside Fredericia, so this part of Denmark has always had a special place in my heart. Even after many years of traveling around the world, this is still where I feel at home. Fredericia is the city where I spent most of my childhood, and it is also the place I think of as home when people ask where I’m from. Later in life I worked at the hospital in nearby Kolding, and for several years I flew out of Billund Airport as cabin crew. Through work, family, and everyday life, I have therefore spent a lot of time in this area and had plenty of opportunities to explore the towns, the countryside, and the coastline. There is truly a lot to experience here. Historic towns, beautiful nature, great restaurants, and plenty of things to see and do. It is also one of the easiest parts of Denmark to visit, whether you are flying into Billund or traveling through Jutland. Here on the blog I share my favorites from the Heart of Jutland. The restaurants I keep coming back to, cafés that are worth a stop, and the places and experiences I would recommend if you want to discover some of the best that the Heart of Jutland has to offer.
