Beautiful Skybar at Mondrian Hotel is one of my favorite bars in LA. Skybar has been around for a while, but it’s still among the best spots in West Hollywood for people-watching and breathtaking views of LA.
During weekdays, the ambience is relaxed and stylish and people chill in the sunbeds around the pool while sipping on some of the tasty, well-mixed cocktails. In the weekend, Skybar enters party mode with louder music and longer lines at the doors. Come early (before midnight) and leave your male friends at home to maximize your chances to get in.
• There is a separate entrance to Skybar to the right of the hotel’s main entrance (with a “Skybar” sign above).
• In spite of the name, Skybar is not a rooftop bar, but a pool bar, one stair up. Though you still have a great view of the city.
• The dress code is smart casual (with an emphasis on smart)
If you’re looking for a stylish place to stay in West Hollywood, Mondrian is a solid pick. The location is great, the rooms are beautiful, and the poolside Skybar has that perfect LA vibe—especially around sunset. It’s one of those hotels that really makes you feel like you're in the middle of it all.
