Copenhagen to Bangkok with Air India: A really nice flight

We flew Air India from Copenhagen to Bangkok with a layover in Delhi, and it turned out to be a really pleasant experience the whole way through. The first leg from Copenhagen to Delhi was far from full, so we both ended up with an entire row to ourselves. Instead of dozing in and out of sleep with our heads rolling around and a sore neck waiting at the other end, we could both stretch out properly and actually get some real rest. I landed in Delhi feeling wide awake and in a genuinely good mood.

Air India had changed both the departure time and date a few times in the weeks leading up to the trip, so I was curious to see which route we would end up taking. As you can see on the map on the seat-back screen, we flew south of the conflict in the Middle East.

The food on board was also better than I had expected. I had a paneer dish with a green sauce, and Trine went for a chicken curry. Both were really good, though Trine’s curry was a little spicier than she had expected. The breakfast served before landing had clearly been loaded in Copenhagen. It was a standard tray with a croissant, yogurt, fruit, and orange juice. Perfectly fine, but pretty bland compared to the first meal.

All in all, a really nice start to the trip. You really shouldn’t underestimate a good night’s sleep and a proper meal:)

In Delhi airport, we went to the Encalm Lounge which was such a nice experience. Read my blog post about the Encalm Lounge

Welcome to my travel blog. This is where I share the places I go, the food I eat, and everything in between. I write about the experiences that stay with me long after I’ve unpacked: a view that stops you in your tracks, a local market tucked away on a side street, or just a really good coffee in a new city. Thanks for being here, let’s see where this goes.
