Los Angeles: Cheesecake Factory in Beverly Hills

Cheesecake Factory in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles

Cheesecake Factory is one of those places that never lets you down and even though some might say that Cheesecake Factory  just another chain restaurant without a soul, to me Cheesecake Factory is the essence of much of what I love about USA.

I think it is a truly brilliant concept, a bit like Jensen’s Bøfhus in Denmark, but with a much larger assortment and bigger portions. If you are not bothered by over-enthusiastic waiters and the fact that all the restaurants look the same, whether you are in Las Vegas or LA, Cheesecake Factory is definitely for you.

When we were in Los Angeles we went to the Cheesecake Factory in Beverly Hills. We had a burger and for dessert we had each our slice of cake.  The burger was delicious, and so was the cake, but even with the best intentions, we only managed to get halfway through the slice. Like many other places in the US Cheesecake Factory offers free refills on fountain soft drinks, a concept I think should be introduced in Denmark.

Though my favorite burger restaurant in Los Angeles is In-N-Out, and at the In-N-Out restaurant at LAX your burger somes with a side of serious plane spotting🙂

Mitzie Mee - Sanne

Los Angeles is a city you don’t quite figure out all at once. It unfolds slowly, neighborhood by neighborhood, mile by mile. Vast and sun washed, cinematic and oddly intimate, it’s a place of constant contrast. Morning hikes in the canyons. Long lunches that stretch into late afternoon. Evenings that end by the ocean with salt in your hair and traffic humming somewhere in the distance. What I love most about LA is that it feels less like a single city and more like a collection of distinct worlds stitched together by freeways and palm trees. A strip mall might hide one of the best meals you’ll have all year. A quiet residential street can lead to a view that stops you in your tracks. The glamour is there if you look for it, but so is a relaxed, everyday rhythm that makes the city surprisingly livable. On this page, I’ve gathered my Los Angeles favorites. The restaurants I return to. The neighborhoods I linger in. The places that capture the particular mix of ambition, creativity, and laid back energy that defines the city.
